The Rose Drawing Alley

On this occasion, let do experiment in drawing roses by unusual color of rose. Well, during quite long time i take a break from online activity, actually i want to refresh my mind to get something new in the future. Then, i got an idea to collect many art works of rose drawing in the internet and other sources. I am so excited to see people’s works. They are really brave in playing with color and design. Here i put some of that works, rose drawing with unusual colors.

The picture above is a sketch only, but the color appear is purple. See? even it is not yet finished, the purple touch on it makes it beautiful.

Let see another example of unusual rose drawing color;

This is rose drawing with the blue sky color. So, whatever the color is, Rose is still beautiful!

On this occasion, (after some weeks break) i put my simple rose drawing inspired by Rose in my own garden. But the difference is, the rose drawing i made enriched by color touch.

I tried to make the color like what the real rose lookalike, but it is hard by using color pencil. At least, i still feel satisfied with the result^_*

In previous chapters i only talked about drawing rose in the guidelines, some rose drawing examples even from me my self or from my friends. Now, how about getting inspiration from the real object? Such as photos or something? Why not?! Well, yeach.. i admit that this gonna be more complicated rose drawing but just get the easy example as the start?

Last week i went to “Puncak”, a place near Bogor and Bandung West Java, Indonesia, to spend weekend with my oldest sister. I walked around the tea plantation and enjoyed the view of that place. One More, i found one simple rose drawing. Probably you also have already found it in drawing book or other rose drawing website, but frankly speaking, i love this one!

It is started by drawing one stem smoothly and one circle right on the stem, then one little circle on top of the previous one. Next, add the leaves and lines connect the two circles. Finally, like what u are seeing in the drawing above, just continue by sharping the lines and darkening the color. Don’t forget about lighting and shading ^_^

What’s new now? a SEO competition held by one of Bulgarian Automobile rental company. As usual, so many webmasters take a part on it. After stupid experience with last SEO competition, i still want to bet my luck with same kind competition. Who knows this is gonna be my time?! Avtorentacar, one of car rental business in Bulgaria is the key word for this race and all explanation in the official website is totally Bulgarian language. What a challenging thing and i was god damn dizzy in the first time!

As a Newbie, i do not hope so much. What the most important thing is only let my self trying a new experience. I will never know what right from wrong if no trial and error. Frankly speaking, too much errors anyway. I consider to keep going the race even deep inside my hear i am in doubt. Fortunately, almost my good friends supports me. My Mba Frisna told me that i am what i think, so i have got to change my will into optimistic. And my pal Sonnie sang one day “..There is a doubt, The doubt the trust in it…”

Start running this Blog, i have been learning how to draw well and sharing information among friends in forums or communities. I discuss a lot with many friends and artist about good drawing and value of drawing. One more important topic is about the mistake usually made by the beginners. Well, i am not saying i am perfect but just want to share ideas with you about the same mistake which i did or i am still doing.

Here in drawing strategy area, i put 10 of the top mistakes usually made by the beginners;

1. Using Hard Pencil

Ok, check your pecil please..What you usually use for drawing? Is that number 2 (HB)? Well, this pencil is quite hard pencil even it’s handy for making light shading. I suggest you to use B series like 2B , 4B, or 6B for the darker result but soft applying. Much better if you have a set of B pecil series on you.

2. Flash Photography for Getting Potraits

Oh my..oh..my..This is the major problem appears for beginners. Believe me! Nothing will work by using flash photography to flatten the features.
